Porch-front brick rows built to one plan and roofed to one plan, which is why a block here tends to need us within a couple of years of each other. Almost all of it is pitched asphalt on its second or third life, with a shallow rear extension that is flat and is usually where the leak actually is.
Twins and singles on wider lots with real overhangs, long fascia runs and a great deal of painted wood out at the edge. Gutter capacity and capping are most of what gets called in up here, and a 5″ gutter on a roof plane this size is the usual reason it overshoots.
Postwar twins and detached houses with straightforward pitched roofs and generous eaves. Straight architectural shingle territory, and the one part of the Northeast where a full tear-off is genuinely simple to stage.
